Global Recognition For Kota’s Timeless Legacy

Legendary Telugu actor Kota Srinivasa Rao was honored at the 98th Academy Awards held in Los Angeles. He was remembered in the prestigious In Memoriam segment which pays tribute to artists who passed away recently.

The Academy also featured his name and photo on its official website with many other great names. This recognition is a proud and great moment for Indian cinema especially Telugu viewers.

Though he never won an Oscar the tribute highlights his immense contribution without fail.

Kota Srinivasa Rao acted in over 700 films and was known for his versatile performances from serious to comic roles he did justice to each and every role which he played.

He also appeared in Hindi films and proved himself. He also served as an MLA from 1999 to 2004 in Vijayawada East in AP leaving behind a lasting legacy. He passed away on 13th July 2025 at the age of 83.

He will always be remembered for his great and natural acting.
